About a week ago I was interviewed by Jane from Theatre on the Run about my thoughts on race. She was kind enough to give me the interview so that I can share it in full with the Positive Philter listeners. The a portion of the interview will be mixed into a show called “Border” accompanied by dance and music. Below is the description of the show:
Experiences of separation and differences that divide.
Individuals describe borders and boundaries experienced through career, racial, gender or ethnic divide. Some have inspired a redirection of action, aided others or made barriers less significant. Find threads of bias, isolation and loneliness residing alongside the urge for belonging, told through interviews, movement and visual art. Set is by Scenic and Projections Designer for Theater and Opera, Jonathan Dahm Robertson.
Intro/Outro music provided by Ryan Rosemond. Check out his Soundcloud channel here: https://soundcloud.com/brothersrosemond/albums
